Our locale and fitness environment provide the ideal backdrop to pursue any number of fitness endeavors.  Bike riding in Napa Valley is one of the foremost areas in the world to cycle.  Our surrounding mountain ranges not only provide for superior hill climbing but also avail for hiking and trail running.

TRIATHELETES AND CYCLING ENTHUSIASTS
If you are a triathlete or cycling enthusiast, Health Spa Napa Valley serves as the perfect “base camp”.  Bring your bikes, park your car and allow us to set the stage for an amazing day.

For you triathletes, do a brick workout and start with your lap swim in our 25-yard lap pool and then hit the bike.  Or start with the bike and finish with a run.

We make it easy for you.  We have a detailed bike map that shows all the rides within the area – the “real ones” that all the locals know and do.  There are many options ranging from 10 miles to over 100 miles that provide some of the most amazing riding route options available.  These rides include the favorites that local Santa Rosa resident Levi Leipheimer does – and Lance also does when he visits the valley.

RUNNERS, TRAIL RUNNERS, HIKERS AND MOUNTAINBIKERS
There are a few options on the running and hiking front.  Keep it simple and allow us to provide some local running routes through the St. Helena neighborhood and vineyards from Health Spa Napa Valley.  If you’re into trail running or hiking, you have a few options.  Bothe State Park is only 5 miles north of St. Helena and affords a network of trail options and distances.  Oat Hill Mine Road is another popular trail 10 miles north of St. Helena just at the end of Silverado Trail on the eastern edge of Calistoga.  This trail is an out and back (unless you go really long) and takes you up to the Palisades  – some awesome granite spires.  You will also get some outstanding views of Mt. St. Helena.  And finally, Las Posadas in Angwin just 10 minutes up the hill from St. Helena has an incredible network of trails for trail running, hiking and mountain biking.

No matter your fitness pursuits, finish your day with an 80-minute massage by one of our master body workers and enjoy lunch poolside – perhaps with a glass, or better yet bottle of wine.  Now that’s a great day in Napa Valley – only at Health Spa Napa Valley!
